This is one of my most awaited posts for the year since it is an
Anniversary special blog post with The Road Dress Travelled has completed ONE AMAZING YEAR!
This year being the first I have had about 3000 plus readers on the blog. This has truly kept me motivated and looking forward to future collaborations with other bloggers. I have so much to share about this last month in quarantine, as I know it has not been the easiest for everyone. It has definitely been unlike anything else we have ever experienced. So I took this chance to write a really artistic blog doing two special things:
CHOOSE A VERY SPECIAL THEME FOR THIS BLOG
collaborate with a very special friend on this blog.

For my one year special blog, I chose to collaborate and feature a friend. When I spent some time thinking about what I should do for a special one year blog, I reached out to my friend. We share a few things in common being architects, having blogs, the love for yoga, and spending all our time immersed in the world of art. The Road Dress Travelled has always been about exploring travel, fashion and beauty and art has been the epicenter of this.
The focus of the theme “Exploring Horizons” IS ABOUT TRAVELING WITHIN OURSELVES DURING THIS TIME OF CONFINEMENT. ART HAS ALWAYS BEEN A WAY FOR US TO EXPRESS OURSELF, DREAM, DISCOVER AND FIND OPPORTUNITIES. THIS BLOG IS GOING TO BE US SHARING WITH YOU THE WAYS WITH WHICH WE TRAVEL WITHIN OURSELVES BEFORE WE VENTURE OUTSIDE
And now without further adieu let me begin sharing with you all the things I have had a chance to do during this quarantine.

And to give you a feeling of how much fun I have had doing this, here are some glimpses from all this time:
Out of all the special things Ive been able to do, the one with most sentimental value has been adopting my two elephants from Sheldrick Foundation in Kenya. Elephants are animals that I feel profound love for and this helps me create a long lasting bond with those animals.
My schedule with quarantine has been jam packed with so many interesting activities, and I am so happy to get all this quality time to focus on these activities. I recently started a new self defense class on a youtube channel by #AndoMierzwa and it has been extremely exciting.
I have had a chance to create a lifestyle blog for my aunt, called the #OutskirtLiving. The blog features her inspiring experiences with keto diets, gardening as well as hydroponics. Go ahead and follow this page on instagram for more updates. I have also been taking the time to freelance with a bunch of interesting projects.

There is a lot more and I can keep talking about it for days, but now I want to introduce my readers to the very talented Pournima Barhate.

Hi Everyone,
I’m a trained Architect, but chose to lay foundation to a confident You, than the building you stand on. I enjoy watching people evolve, become the greatest versions of themselves, and get paid for it. I am a paper-cut artist and love to work with my craft knives for hours creating intricate designs and patterns from a single sheet of paper. Being a Yogini, I dream to perfect handstand.
I’ve been a blogger for over a decade. I lose interest easily unless I am continuously challenged, my writing has managed to stand the test of time. You’d find many of my other likes within my writing, but some things which I can’t seem to like are floral fragrances, and nuts. I’d gladly give away the box of dry fruits to you.
I Dream to travel the world and check off the places on my bucket list, that keeps growing every day.
One of Pournima’s biggest artistic skills is Kirigami which is similar to origami where they both are a form of paper art. The major difference is that in origami, you fold paper whereas in kirigami, you fold and cut paper.
Here are some beautiful Kirigami art videos which I absolutely love and want you to check out:

That is all for now, if you want to get featured on a blog, write to me on the email id below and share your interesting experiences with the quarantine.
Signing off for now,
Lots of Love,
The Road Dress Travelled x
