Idea Behind The Road Dress Travelled!

I am sure many of you have heard the famous poem by Robert Frost called “The Road Not Taken”. It was published in 1916 as the first poem in the collection Mountain Interval. I remember learning this poem through Literature back in school but I did not know my fashion, travel and beauty blog would be along those lines.

I am going to quote the first and last paragraphs in that poem that happen to me my inspiration behind my blog;

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.

-Robert Frost

Starting the blog has been a great first step, but there was a lot of thinking that went behind the perfect name for the blog. I had three strong ideas I wanted to attach to the name which involved fashion and travel. I wanted it to be defining, and have a strong essence of connection with the audience.

THE ROAD DRESS TRAVELLED, is an amalgamation of fashion and travel.

This also reminds me of a quote by Gretchen Bleiler:

When you choose to take the road less traveled, it can sometimes be a bumpy ride along the way, but if you’re doing it for the right reasons, then the reward is so great

Likewise, this journey for me is going to be a professional one but at the same time being able to share my personal thoughts along the way. Many people ask me how I plan my trips, how I decide on my bucket list and how I get down to executing it. And most importantly, I want my blog to be a great place to connect with my audience, where we can interact about our ideas on fashion, beauty and travel.

I am super excited about this beginning and I cannot wait to share it with you all!

Lots of Love,

The Road Less Travelled x
